The Malaysia''s election
is just around
The corner. It’s going
to happen on Mar 8, 2008. All the parties activist is trying to convince the Malaysian on what they can do if they
are elected as the government.
The current government, leaders
of BN is promising the Malays (origins of Malaysia) that the Malays position is currently secured and they have ways to ensure the Malay positions economy, education, employment, religion and Malay reserve land
in the country.
However, whoever mentioned that is a political person, a person in education line who does not know what is happening in the industry especially in private sector. They are a lot of issues happening for Malay population in Malaysia. One of them is the Malays actually having difficulties getting the job at the multi-national companies especially in Electronics industry as
It is dominated by certain race in Malaysia. If they are selected, it''s only few of them. Even though the companies are following the quotas 30% Bumiputra set by the current government, most of the employees in that quota is actually the low level technicians or operators getting low salary paid. This is the real issue faced by the Malay graduates in Malaysia. In that small number of professionals in the industry, they are given the responsibility by getting the promotion but the salary is actually at the lower range of a bell-curve. This is the issue which probably the current government never bothers to investigate.
Now the Malay students have to make loans to study, the standard is equivalent to non-Bumiputra status. In the ‘Perlembagaan’, it was stated the Malays (origins of Malaysia) will receive scholarships but it has been changed. This is another real issue happening. This is telling us the future generation of Malays will not get any scholarships. Therefore it is very hard to believe the government will ensure Malay positions in the country.
It has been 50 years, there were good times, and bad times. Now is the time to select our government. In life change happens. The country is practicing democracy. Everybody has the voice. Just voice it. A wrong child needs to be corrected. If the government forgot, let’s remind them who Malays in the country are.
